Richard S. Ferri, PhD, ANP, ACRN, FAAN (Ric) is a board certified adult nurse practitioner and practices as an infectious disease specialist in New Bedford, MA. Ric specializes in the treatment of HIV and hepatitis and promotes primary wellness in his clinical practice. Ric firmly believes that health care is not always found in the bottle of pills and that good health needs to incorporate fitness, wellness, and prevention. As a certified personal fitness trainer Ric stresses in the philosophy of integration of fitness and health. The two do not exist independently. Ric also believes everyone deserves good health and he practices what he believes.
In addition to his commitment to fitness and health Ric is a published novelist and a produced playwright. His work has appeared in many national publications and on National Public Radio. He lives, trains, and writes with his partner – Dr. James Lear – on Cape Cod.
