His treatment and complications would persist well into the age of seven. Identification of Munchausen victims is notoriously difficult under the best of circumstances. In this case, the victim was a child admitted to a Massachusetts Hospital for a Central Venous Catheter, line infection. The suspicion, diagnosis and treatment were carried out promptly.”
