An associate of mine who has a wife with late stage MS and cared for her at home until recently (when she progressed to requiring 24/7 skilled nursing care), said that years ago when he would hear someone complain about something that seemed trivial compared to his situation, he would think to himself how he’d trade places with them in a heartbeat. He then came to learn that their struggles were just as difficult for them, as his were to him."
