Despite our requests, they continue to stall, stonewall, make excuses - so, we've decided to do the Nursing notifications ourselves.
Did you know Organized Wisdom is looking to profit from your name, reputation and would like to keep you in the dark as long as possible?
Like you, I was profiled on Organized Wisdom and my tweets being "harvested" and added to their index.
When displayed in their index, my name, my photo and drug advertising were displayed prominently. Same with yours.
So, a few questions.
1. Did you know you were profiled on Organized Wisdom? Most nurses (and doctors) contacted do not. Almost every profile I've come across is "Not Yet Claimed"
2. Do you consent to your name/likeness being used to promote their site? Are you OK with them selling you as an "expert"
3. Do you consent to your tweet streams, being harvested, unfiltered and added to an organization that chiefly sells drug advertising? It implies your endorsement.
4. Did you know, once submitted, your favorite sites are copied, plagiarized and their copyrights infringed upon.
5. Did you know, that as a "curator" you receive no compensation, even though Organized Wisdom makes money hand over fist from drug advertising. Can you say exploitation?
6. Did you know, that Organized Wisdom is now competing with you in the search engines, using your name, likeness?
Organized Wisdom displays the Health On The Net (HONcode) badge and is in violation of several of their eight criteria.

I watched and notified many healthcare providers on Twitter of my circumstances attempting to help others that may be affected by this scam. It was the silent ones that disturbed me the most. I won't go into the thoughts of a much larger scam with this blog."

Organized Wisdom.Com: A Deception
I didn't know anything about organizedwisdom.com until I received a tweet from a concerned person I may be affected. In looking at the web site I found myself there surprisingly from Twitter healthcare providers through tweets. One tweet looked strange to me. The tweet was worded from my blog site Stop the Aging: Alternative treatment for high cholesterol, obesity etc. That is not my practice, I do not practice with alternative medicine or treatment, I practice under the guidelines of family medicine and I utilize evidenced based medicine for practice. I realized I needed help. The first wave of a deception ran through my body.

Social Media Distractions Are Costing Businesses Major Money [STUDY]
How many times each day are you distracted by social media, email or instant messages?
According to a recent survey from social email software provider harmon.ie, you and other employees are blowing $10,375 in productivity each year, and all because we don’t disconnect from an online chat quickly enough, or we get sidetracked by a bulging email inbox, or we fall into a Facebook hole of photos, updates and messages.
In a survey of more than 500 employees in U.S. businesses of all sizes, harmon.ie found that at companies with more than 1,000 employees, these kinds of digital distractions can waste more than $10 million each year

In Colorado, Health Care Law Creates Nurse-Run Clinic | The Rundown News Blog | PBS NewsHour | PBS
In a low-income suburb of Denver, Erica Schwartz and her small staff of advanced practice nurses have set up their own primary care facility. Here, they can provide services ranging from managing diabetes and prenatal care to treating depression -- all for less than it costs to run a primary care clinic with a doctor in the house.
"The caring component of nursing is palpable when you walk into the center," she said. Everyone on staff, from the reception desk to the exam room, spends a lot of time getting to know their patients, from their mental health needs to their blood glucose level.
Sheridan Health Services opened in March with a $1.5 million grant, spread out over three years, from the federal health care reform law. It's one of first centers in the country to open under the law. More primary care tied to lower death rates | Reuters
Seniors living in areas with more primary care have slightly lower death rates and are less likely to end up in the hospital with a preventable disease, U.S. researchers have found.
In contrast to some earlier studies, which have yielded mixed results, the new work looked at how much primary care was actually delivered to patients -- not just how many primary care physicians were in a certain area.
"The magic is not in how many primary care physicians there are, it is what they do," said Dr. Barbara Starfield of the Primary Care Policy Center at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, who was not involved in the study.

Despite our requests, they continue to stall, stonewall, make excuses - so, we've decided to do the Nursing notifications ourselves. Did you know Organized Wisdom is looking to profit from your name, reputation and would like to keep you in the dark as long as possible? Like you, I was profiled on Organized Wisdom and my tweets being "harvested" and added to their index. When displayed in their index, my name, my photo and drug advertising were displayed prominently. Same with yours. So, a few questions. 1. Did you know you were profiled on Organized Wisdom? Most nurses (and doctors) contacted do not. Almost every profile I've come across is "Not Yet Claimed" 2. Do you consent to your name/likeness being used to promote their site? Are you OK with them selling you as an "expert" 3. Do you consent to your tweet streams, being harvested, unfiltered and added to an organization that chiefly sells drug advertising? It implies your endorsement. 4. Did you know, once submitted, your favorite sites are copied, plagiarized and their copyrights infringed upon. 5. Did you know, that as a "curator" you receive no compensation, even though Organized Wisdom makes money hand over fist from drug advertising. Can you say exploitation? 6. Did you know, that Organized Wisdom is now competing with you in the search engines, using your name, likeness? Organized Wisdom displays the Health On The Net (HONcode) badge and is in violation of several of their eight criteria.
