Restless Legs Syndrome Foundation:"The Restless Legs Syndrome Foundation is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) agency that is dedicated to improving the lives of men, women, and children who live with this often devastating disease. The organization's goals are to increase awareness of Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) - to - improve treatments, and, through research - to - find a cure. The Foundation was formed in 1990, when a few individuals came together around a kitchen table to encourage each other through their struggles with a disease that they finally had a name for - restless legs syndrome. Their common goal was to help others cope with RLS and to build awareness for unknowing thousands who were searching for help with the "creepy-crawly sensations in their legs". The legal nonprofit organization - RLS Foundation - was formed incorporated in 1992."

Retained Objects in the OR:"I am a nursing student, I am doing an assignment on ethical dilemmas. If you were a nurse and you saw that a surgeon did not account for a suture after a patient had an operation, would you report this incident to the supervisor? one suture is still inside the patient, and the surgeon does not want the patient to know about this."

Reverse discrimination in nursing leadership: hitting the concrete ceiling. Porter-O'Grady T., Nurs Adm Q. 1995 Winter;19(2):56-62.:"Discrimination has many facets. In nursing there is as much discrimination as there is in any other group. Reverse discrimination, that is discrimination toward men in nursing, is evident even though it is well hidden. There are many situations and opportunities for the minority group in nursing (men) to experience the vagaries of gender prejudice in the same concentration as women experience in their attempt to integrate in more male-dominated professions. It is valuable to take time to denote the characteristics of gender bias in nursing and to identify mechanisms for handling it."
