    REGARDING THE AMANDA TRUJILLO DISCUSSION
Banner Health does not publically discuss employee matters. On the issue of advocacy, we believe the recent recognition of Banner Health by Thomson Reuters as a Top Five large health system in the nation for clinical excellence is a clear reflection of patient-centered advocacy as practiced by dedicated physicians, nurses and other caregivers throughout Banner facilities on a patient-by-patient basis . Further, Banner Health Facebook pages are intended to provide consumers helpful information for their health and about Banner Health services and programs. We will exercise our right to delete information that does not meet these intentions.

      • Lindsay Novacek I, personally, think that the knowledge that a nurse was fired for doing the best thing for her patient is extremely helpful information. I know this comment will be deleted. I will advise my friends and family NOT to use Banner del Webb, for any purpose, ever.

      • Collin Gabriel Delete what you will but this will be a PR nightmare for you unless you become a model of how to treat your caregivers versus crippling them financially. You should be celebrating nurses like this. My extended family lives in Arizona and you can rest assured they will hear of this from me and avoid your hospital. I have seen many organizations try to manage situations like this and it only gets worse, especially for the culture within your hospital, so, accolades or no, this is a truly shameful way to treat your employees.

      • Elizabeth Meader Krouse Bully doctors and employers cannot and will not be tolerated any more without being exposed to the light of day. Banner del Webb is under the scrutiny of many nurses now and NURSES STAND UNITED in the issue of Amanda Trujillo. Deleting our posts doesn't change the truth of the matter in any way.

      • Kim McAllister The comment above is appreciated, as is the intent of the Banner Health Facebook page. The firing of Amanda Trujillo, however, is appalling. Indeed, this is now a PR nightmare for Banner Health (who is now following me on Twitter!!!) I understand this comment will be removed, as this is not the venue. But our blogs, Twitter and our own FB pages ARE the venue, and you are welcome to comment there. My blog is www.emergiblog.com. Patient advocacy is not a punishable crime, nurses are tired of being treated like disposable trash and we WILL stand behind our colleague - nationwide. I will be blogging on this DAILY until it is resolved. Thank you.
