+Elizabeth Scala MSN/MBA, RN: What made you decide to start your own business?

What made you decide to start your own business? I always knew I wanted to own my own "something" I just never knew what that something was. So I went to school for my master's in business and nursing- just in case that idea came to me! When I left my inpatient role to work at a wellness center, coordinating a physician referred exercise program, I went through a health and wellness coaching program- my first one of two.

When I was done the club wanted me to coach their clients there. But I realized that wasn't what I wanted to do- I wanted to coach my own clients in my own business. That "something" had turned into a reality. I am quite independent, motivated, hard-working, committed, and dedicated. I want to make a difference and have an impact on the nursing profession. I want to help our profession rise to a new level. That being said my "coaching" business has turned into so much more.

I realized that nurses needed me in many different capacities. So I have turned to speaking, writing, radio show hosting, and many other modalities to be able to help nurses where they are at. I love being a business owner and I wouldn't have it any other way!
