Do Coaches Need Professional liability Insurance? OnlineTherapyInstitute.com #Nurseup #NNBA2014 #Coaching #SmallBusiness #BusinessBasics

Do Coaches Need Professional liability Insurance? OnlineTherapyInstitute.com:"Coaching is not a regulated profession in most parts of the world so many coaches assume they do not need professional liability insurance but that is not necessarily true. For Therapist-Coaches, the question is a bit easier to answer and the answer is generally, “Yes.” If you are a Therapist-Coach and you continue to practice in the mental health field, you can usually add coaching to your existing professional liability insurance that you carry for your mental health services."

Qualities & traits that make #nurses qualified to operate a business? @patbemis @maureenSRN @nursekeith @NurseMentorNanc

Qualities & traits that make #nurses qualified to operate a business? @patbemis @maureenSRN @nursekeith @NurseMentorNanc:"Keith Carlson Independent thinking is key, as Patricia Bemis said. Also the willingness to really focus on the business aspect, not to mention recruiting others to the team as necessary (web designers, accountants--anyone who may be able to help). The entrepreneur also needs to be detail-oriented, organized and creative. Risk aversion is certainly a trait that will get in your way!"

Consulting Teaching Services, Inc:"The model for an effective restorative nursing program was originally developed through a grant awarded to B.J. Collard by the Federal Administration on Aging. This model has set the standards for restorative nursing programs and is the prototype used across the country. The focus is on nursing, not formalized therapy, and offers a step-by-step practical guide on how to set up a restorative nursing program. Compliance with regulations of keeping residents at their highest, possible, practical, functional level is assured if the program is followed as taught."

Nursingentrepreneurs.com is a networking and resource directory for Nurse-Owned businesses and nurses looking for an alternative to working at the bedside.

If you explore the site a bit, you'll find profiles of hundreds of nurse entrepreneurs around the country. We encourage you to browse around, find a business category you are interested in, then contact the nurse directly. We're available for questions as well. This website is Owned-Operated by Andrew Lopez, RN a Medical/Surgical/Telemetry nurse.

Has your Nurse-owned business been written up in the news? Do you send out a newsletter or regular press releases? We'd like to hear about it!

Our Newest article is from an Arizona Nurse Entrepreneur:

Should You Incorporate Your Registry Business? By Joseph Caracci, RN:"The short answer is yes! When starting a new nurse registry business, you are entering into a legal business environment that requires you to take steps to protect your personal assets, such as your home, your savings, and your retirement. With this in mind, you need to determine which legal form you are going to take for your new registry. Some of the common choices are a sole proprietorship, a partnership, a limited liability partnership (LLP), a limited liability company (LLC), and a corporation."
