It can be a struggle to decide when the timing is right to put a loved one into a nursing home. In general, they aren’t overly thrilled about it and you can understand why as they are giving up some of the independence that they have enjoyed for so long (at least to some extent). That’s really a tough transition for the person going into the nursing home as well as for their friends and family who love and care for them. The best thing that we can do is stay informed and make sure that we are vigilant about looking after their care by checking in on them on a regular basis.
